IELTS Reading Sample (Academic) #17

Reading Tip

Another task you might meet in the IELTS Reading module involves classifying names or objects or events, etc. Classifying means putting things into classes, or groups. Doing classification tasks is similar in some ways to doing T/F/NG tasks. Both involve matching words in the question with words in the text, so you need to scan the text to find the right place before you can consider what to do next. Sometimes the classes are different periods of time and you have to identify the period when certain events took place.
